Mariners LHP Rhodes ejected

Seattle Mariners relief pitcher Arthur Rhodes was ejected from Wednesday’s game against the Texas Rangers in the eighth inning for arguing balls and strikes.

Rhodes walked the bases loaded and, after surrendering a sacrifice fly to Michael Young, was tossed after arguing with home plate umpire Paul Nauert.

The reliever was visibly upset after a 3-2 pitch to Marlon Byrd was called a ball by Nauert one batter earlier, loading the bases.
